We are fundraising to help feed children and families in need in Juarez, Mexico.

In January, 2021, Field Director, Pastor Misael Loera and AeC Staff reported to the AeC Board that many of the 100 children, we usually feed daily, were going hungry. Mexico's public schools and our 2 community centers are still closed due to Covid-19. There was a cry for help and through God's mighty power, AeC Ministries was there to provide!

AeC Ministries Staff give their praises!

Vicky Rodriguez, Amistad’s Afterschool Principal, Feb. 15-19, 2021.

"I am grateful to God for keeping us well and let us finish one more week. I am also grateful that he allowed the feeding program to start in both centers and because it started at the perfect time, this week there were different situations throughout the city, there were days when that we find ourselves without water, without electricity, without gas. This food was a great help, as it lessened the pressure felt by the parents a bit."

Pedro Munoz Q., New Beginnings Cook, 15-19 Feb. 2021

"Thank God for allowing me to start cooking again for the kids in the Afterschool center. I need Help in Prayer for: my work in the kitchen so that it may be a blessing for the children."

Lupe Morales A. Amistad’s Afterschool Cook, 22-26 Feb. 2021

"We made a pork dish with potatoes in green sauce with red rice. Today a total of 34 plates were delivered to 15 families and the first pantry delivery was given to 8 families."

Lucero Almaraz E. NB Afterschool Program Principal and middle school teacher, February 22 to 26, 2021

"I thank to God for taking care of all my students, and I can see some and talk with them when they go to collect their daily food. I need Help in Prayer for: for all my high school students since these weeks are for recovery and evaluation so that they can do well in their grades."

Doris and Misael Loera, Operations Manager and Field Director of AeC Ministries, Feb. 26, 2021

"The feeding programs were launched as planned, we started the same day after the blizzard hit the city; the timing was God sent. First because of the storm, we thought we were not going to have response but the Families came and every day they have continue to do so.

We have been having some families from NB community coming to ask if they can place their children in the feeding program; and with some families that are not coming to get their meals we have been including them, and thus we are serving people from the community in need.

Everyday an average of 17 to 18 families on each center is coming to get the meals for their children, out of the families that attend each center. We are doing a “test run” to see how many more people we can feed with the funds Amigos en Cristo is dedicating to the pantries.

All the staff is involved in the feeding program besides their normal teaching schedules.

Blessings!"
